You Have Been Fed a Lie
I don't believe in balance.
I know that's not a popular thing to say. But the philosophy doesn't exist. Not in travel, not in life. You will always have to sacrifice something. You will always have to pick and choose. The question is never how do I have it all. It's what am I willing to prioritize?
And for me, the hotel is non-negotiable.
I hear it all the time. "I won't be in the room that much, so I'll just book somewhere cheap and spend the money on experiences." And I understand the logic. But I disagree with it deeply. Because where you sleep, where you wake up, where you shower and get dressed and look at yourself in the mirror before stepping out into a new city. That matters. That is part of the experience. That IS the experience.
A hotel is not just a bed. It is the first thing you see when you open your eyes in the morning and the last thing you feel before you close them at night. It sets the tone for everything. The energy you carry into your day starts in that room. And when that room is beautiful, when the sheets are right, when the light comes in a certain way, when you walk through a lobby that makes you stand a little taller. Something shifts in you. You start to move differently. You expect more from the day. You expect more from yourself.
I also believe that staying in a beautiful hotel is exposure. It shows you what is possible. It introduces you to a standard of service, of design, of care that you may have never encountered before. And once you experience it, you carry that standard with you. It changes how you treat yourself long after you check out. It raises the bar. Not just for travel, but for life.
So yes, I will sacrifice other things. I will eat at the local spot instead of the overpriced tourist restaurant. I will walk instead of taking a cab. I will cut a day from the itinerary if it means staying somewhere that makes me feel something. Because the hotel is never just a hotel. It is a reflection of how you value yourself.
That is my philosophy. And it is the lens through which I find every single property I recommend at Eventrixe.
So with that said. Here are seven more hotels opening in 2026 that I genuinely cannot stop thinking about.
Why 2026 Keeps Delivering-
When I published Part 1 of this series, I genuinely thought I had shared the best of what this year had to offer. Seven hotels, one per continent, each one more stunning than the last. But God has a way of humbling your confidence, because the moment I went back into research, I found seven more that I cannot let go of. If you missed Part 1, you can read it here.
I. Not A Hotel Setouchi, Sagishima Island, Japan (Opening 2026)
Website:notahotel.com | Instagram:@notahotel_official
Three villas. An entire island. Sagishima sits in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea, a quiet, misty stretch of water surrounded by rolling green hills and untouched nature. Not A Hotel is known for working with world-renowned architects to create spaces that feel less like hotels and more like living art. This property has only three villas, each one sculptural and completely private. This level of exclusivity is exactly what we value and offer at Eventrixe. My favorite on this list.
Why I’d book it for a client: The client who has done luxury before and now craves something rare. Someone who values privacy, design, and an experience that cannot be replicated. This is not a hotel you stumble upon. This is one you earn.
II. Orient Express Venezia, Venice, Italy (Opened March 2026)
Website:orientexpresshotels.com | Instagram:@orientexpressvenezia
If you have ever dreamed of experiencing the elegance of the Orient Express without being on the rails, this is it. They opened their second hotel ever inside a 15th-century Venetian palazzo that took eight years to restore. You arrive by canal. Frescoed ceilings, Murano glass, gilded salons, neo-Gothic staircases. I gasped when I saw the photos. Venice has no shortage of beautiful hotels, but this one is telling a story that nobody else can tell.
Why I’d book it for a client: Anniversary trip. A once-in-a-lifetime Venice experience for the couple who wants more than a gondola ride. Arriving by private canal boat to a palazzo that took eight years to restore is the kind of memory that defines a marriage.
III. Six Senses London, United Kingdom (Opened March 2026)
Website:sixsenses.com/london | Instagram:@sixsenseslondon
I have to be honest. Six Senses is one of my favorite hotel groups in the world and a dream brand to partner with. They just made their UK debut inside a historic building in Bayswater with 109 rooms, over a thousand living plants, meditation cushions in every room, and views of Hyde Park. They brought their signature wellness philosophy to one of the busiest cities in the world, and it works beautifully. High ceilings, natural materials, soft lighting, and something called the Sleep With Six Senses bedding concept. Wellness lovers, this one is yours.
Why I’d book it for a client: The client who travels to London for culture and theatre but also needs a sanctuary to return to. Someone who values wellbeing as much as experience. Pair this with a West End show and a private gallery tour and you have the most balanced London itinerary possible.
IV. L’Aventure, Paris, France (Opening 2026)
Website:laventurehotel.com | Instagram:@laventurehotel
Sixteen rooms near the Arc de Triomphe, each one designed as its own artistic world. Bold colors, avant-garde design, private members’ club energy. This is not your typical Parisian hotel and that is exactly why I love it. Created under the artistic direction of Vincent Darré, every room is conceived as a unique narrative. It is theatrical, unexpected, and entirely itself.
Why I’d book it for a client: The client who has been to Paris before and doesn’t need the Eiffel Tower view. Someone who wants to feel like they discovered something nobody else knows about. And speaking of Paris, our free Paris travel guide is launching this week on eventrixe.com.
V. Erebero Hills, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda (Opening August 2026)
Website:asiliaafrica.com | Instagram:@asiliaafrica
If Uganda is not on your travel list, you need to add it right now. This country is one of the most beautiful in the world. Lush, green, dramatic landscapes everywhere you look. And Erebero Hills sits on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of the last places on earth where you can trek to see mountain gorillas in the wild. The architecture is design-forward and literally blends into the jungle canopy. This is Asilia Africa’s first lodge in Uganda and it introduces a standard of luxury that this region has been waiting for.
Why I’d book it for a client: The adventurer who also expects elegance. Someone who wants the wildlife experience of a lifetime without sacrificing comfort. Gorilla trekking followed by a gourmet dinner in the middle of the jungle is the kind of contrast that stays with you forever.
VI. Venturo, Split, Croatia (Opened March 2026)
Website:venturohotel.com | Instagram:@venturohotel
Croatia is still so underrated and I will keep saying it. Venturo is a brand new boutique hotel with only 24 rooms sitting right between the beach and Diocletian’s Palace. The room designs are insane. Spacious, contemporary, Mediterranean in the most elevated way. Split deserves more attention and this hotel is about to put it on even more radars.
Why I’d book it for a client: The client who wants a European summer that isn’t overcrowded or overpriced. Croatia offers the Mediterranean magic of Italy and Greece at a fraction of the cost, and Venturo is proof that the hotel scene is catching up fast. A couples trip or a solo adventure, Split delivers.
VII. Casa Renoir, Noosa, Australia (Opening 2026)
Website:casarenoir.com.au | Instagram:@casarenoir
A 40-acre wellness retreat in Noosa inspired by Southern Italian architecture. Handcrafted stone walls, elegant arches, olive groves, citrus trees, and a philosophy built entirely around sustainability, slow living, and genuine human connection. It feels like stepping into the Italian countryside but you are on Australia’s coastline. And I will be in Australia next month, so this one is very much personal.
Why I’d book it for a client: The client who needs to slow down. Not a spa weekend, but a real reset. Someone who wants to disconnect from everything and reconnect with themselves in a space that was designed with that exact intention. Pair it with a few days in Sydney and you have the ultimate Australian contrast.
What Comes Next
Part 3 is coming. And if you thought Parts 1 and 2 covered everything, I promise you the list only gets better. From Aman’s newest retreat in Baja to a volcanic landscape hotel in Iceland to a Belmond masterpiece in Florence, the final installment of this series will close out what I believe is one of the most extraordinary years in luxury hospitality.
In the meantime, if any of these properties sparked something in you, that is exactly what Eventrixe is here for. We don’t just find hotels. We find the one that was meant for you.
